East Davidson’s Visual Arts program is designed for high school students who have an artistic interest, dedication, and enthusiasm which they want to use in order to pursue a structured course of study. The program is a carefully planned arts curriculum that encourages intellectual, aesthetic, and emotional growth.

Self-Discipline is emphasized as an essential component of a personal work ethic.

Students have the opportunity to take studio classes in drawing, painting, pen and ink, graphics, color theory, two-dimensional design, sculpture, and ceramics, as well as learning about art history, tracing visual arts from prehistory to contemporary philosophies. Studio assignments are designed to introduce the student to a variety of media and the nature of the creative process. The Visual Arts can be an integral part of each student's education here at East Davidson High School.
