Class Expectations Please adhere to the following for my classroom:
- Respect for others, yourself, and the teacher.
- Class begins when the bell rings. You are expected to be in your assigned seat with all necessary materials and logged into your computer ready to begin. We have a great deal of material to cover in a short period of time so come to class ready to work.
- You may not line up at the door at the end of the class period. When the bell rings, you are dismissed.
- Cell phones will not be permitted during class time without teacher permission.
- No food and drink without screw on lid will be allowed. This is non-negotiable since this is a computer lab. You will be working on expensive equipment which must be maintained.
- Please make every effort to attend class regularly. If you are absent, MAKE-UP WORK IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! Any missed work should be made up within 3-5 class periods following the absence. See me if you have any questions.
- You are expected to use your time during class changes or lunch to take care of personal matters. Do not ask me to go to the restroom during instructional time. Students must sign out and back in on the sheet at the door.
- At no time are you allowed to go to any website that you have not been given permission to be on. This means NO GAMES.
- Do NOT remove or install any software to the DCS network or any DCS computer unless directed to do so by the teacher. Do NOT touch other students’ computers especially pressing their power button.
- Please leave your computer area clean and orderly. If you notice anything damaged, broken or missing, let me know immediately.
- Cheating will not be tolerated! Creativity is excepted and expected!
Together, we can make this a great semester!
Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources
Davidson County has a Computer Use & Internet Policy which must be followed. This policy will be read during class. All students are expected to know, understand, and apply this policy. All discipline procedures will be mandated by the Davidson County Board of Education. You do not have privacy on the DCS computer systems. The systems are monitored and anything you send or receive may be viewed by employees of DCS. Students will be required to sign the DCS Computer Use & Internet Policy before they may get on the internet.
