About Me

My name is Amanda Akins. I began my teaching career at Albemarle High School (Albemarle, NC). I taught at AHS for two school years. While there, I was also the varsity softball coach. 
 
I have been teaching math at East Davidson since 2011.  My other roles at East Davidson include being the math department chair, being a member of the School Improvement Team and coaching Varisty Softball.
 
I graduated from East Davidson High School in 2005.
I graduated from Pfeiffer University (2009) with a degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education.
