February Driver's Ed Class

Driver's Ed
The class will begin February 4th and end on February 18th. Deadline to turn in applications is January 31st. The first 50 eligible applications will enter the class. Students must be 14 and a half years old to apply, so students must be 15 by August 4th in order to be eligible.

Driver's Ed Makeup Classes

Drivers Ed make up classes will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week (December 18-20). For those students needing to make up time for days missed, times will be announced at a later date following our winter break.

Driver's Ed Cancelled for Saturday, Dec. 8

Driver's Ed is cancelled for Saturday, Dec. 8 due to the possibility of inclement weather. The time will be made up at a later date. Email Mr. Wheeler if you have any questions.

Credit by Demonstrated Mastery Applications Due by Dec. 20th, 2018

What is Credit by Demonstrated Mastery? Credit by Demonstrated Mastery is a state policy, which allows students working at an advanced level to earn course credit for high school courses by going through a two-phase assessment process. Any high school parent who is interested in learning about this process should review the informational brochure and student application, which can be requested from the school office or downloaded below. The deadline for requesting Credit by Demonstrated Mastery is December 20th.

Art Sculptures

Art students had fun making sculptures to display around the school.

Piedmont Crossing Visit

The Agriscience class visited Piedmont Crossing on Monday where they helped plant a fall garden with the residents. They were fulfilling the "Living to Serve" portion of the FFA motto.

East Davidson FFA

The East Davidson FFA was recognized at the state level for their significant membership growth in 2017-2018. FFA members represented to school well as they traveled to the West Central Region leadership conference. We are so proud of these young people for taking leadership opportunities.

EDHS Marching Band Scores Big!

EDHS Band competed at Mt. Pleasant HS Band Competition and Maiden HS Band Competition this weekend. They placed 3rd overall at Mt. Pleasant with 1st place Drum Major and 1st place Color guard. At the Maiden competition, they placed 1st for Color guard, 1st for percussion, 1st for soloist, 1st for general effect, 1st for music, 1st for marching, 1st 4A class, and overall GRAND CHAMPION! Congrats to the EDHS Marching Band!
