March 17 - School Messenger

I would like to thank each of you for your support as we work through the logistics of being out of school for the next two weeks. To keep you informed, we will update our school website regularly with any new information as it becomes available.

Our teachers have been hard at work finalizing remote learning activities for our students. At this time, teachers have placed instructions on their school webpages for accessing activities online. If you have any questions, please email your teachers. Teachers’ email addresses are available on our school website. To access a teacher’s webpage, click on “Departments” and then navigate to the appropriate department to find a specific teacher. At this time, we are asking students to keep any completed work until further notice.

For the remainder of this week, we are going to place a drop box outside the front office from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm for any students that would like to drop off their completed registration materials. Please understand that this is not mandatory. We are simply trying to start getting an idea of our course numbers for next year. We will still be available for individual questions and/or meetings once we return to normal operating procedures.

Mrs. Hedrick’s AP ART students should drive around to the back parking lot entrance to the art room and pick up their materials directly from Mrs. Hedrick, also from 8:00 – 11:00 am.

In addition, any students who would like to drop off their completed registration materials with all required signatures may do so during this time at the front entrance. Please understand that this is not mandatory and that we are working on a revised registration plan when more information becomes available.

Coronavirus Lessons

As you aware, due to the coronavirus, school will be closed for the next two weeks. To support continued learning during this time, our teachers have been working on lessons for students to complete at home. Beginning tomorrow, these lessons will be available online via teacher web pages and in paper format for those who need it. We are also preparing a schedule for students to come by school tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th, to pick up materials, or personal belongings.

In an effort to better prepare for tomorrow’s distribution, we are asking for any students who need paper copies of assignments to email their teachers by 12:00 pm today. Teachers’ email addresses are located under the department tab on our school website. If a student cannot email, we are asking that they call the school per the following schedule.

Freshmen – 9:00 -9:30

Sophomores – 9:30 -10:00

Juniors – 10:00-10:30

Seniors – 10:30 – 11:00

Online access to digital resources will be available on each teacher’s web page via our school website.

All Foods 1 students’ and interior design students’ work will be located on Mrs. Bonnie Parker’s web page. All English 2 assignments will be located on Mrs. Kristen North’s web page.
