2.   When going to the DMV an appointment is not necessary. They start taking walk-ins at 11:00 am. Best to arrive before 3:30 pm. They will stop allowing walk-ins for the day.

3.   Things you must take with you:

A parent, legal guardian, or other approved person who has legal guardian papers    must be present to sign the application for permit.

The Driver Education Complication Certificate, a Driver Eligibility Certificate obtained form the school of attendance, a Social Security card and proof of residence must be shown at DMV.

DMV requires proof of age and identity to protect the public from driver license fraud. A certified or original copy of the applicant's birth certificate is needed to determine the applicant's age. Note - In lieu of Birth certificate, an unexpired, stamped photo passport will be accepted.
