Driver's Education Class 2026

The July Summer class is full

The next class will be held sometime in early or mid October. Check back for announcements late September, 2026.

Please Remember the following information:

Behind-the-Wheel Sessions

Once a student has completed ALL of the classroom requirements the school lead instructor will contact the student to schedule the student

to drive. Students are placed in the scheduling book by their DOB. The book is organized by when the class ended then oldest to youngest that was in that class that completed all the requirements. (EX. A younger student from a previous class will be scheduled before an older student from a current class.) Students will be called with one of the phone numbers we have on file when the student registered for the class. If there is no answer, the instructor will leave a message. If we are unable to reach the student we will keep the student in the scheduling book and try to schedule the student at a later date. At this time it can take up to six months to complete both parts of driver education due a shortage of DE instructors. You will receive a group text when it is time to schedule your student..
Example message:

“This is Mrs. Fitzgerald, Lead Driver’s Education Instructor from East Davidson. I am scheduling the behind‑the‑wheel portion of Driver’s Education for your student…”

How Scheduling Works

  • Students are scheduled by date of birth, oldest first.
  • Due to schedule conflicts, this order may occasionally shift.
  • Scheduling is first‑come, first‑serve—please respond quickly to all messages.
  • Lack of response will result in moving to the next group of drivers.
  • Students with extracurricular conflicts may be moved to the end of the list.
  • We will try our best to accommodate schedules, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Prompt responses are essential to secure your student’s driving time.

After your student has been scheduled for the Behind-the-Wheel portion of Driver's Education, it is important that they notify the instructor if they are unable to attend any scheduled sessions. Failure to provide advance notice will result in the student being placed at the back of the scheduling list.

The student must be picked up immediately after the driving session is over. If the student cannot arrange an immediate pick up we cannot drive the student.

The good news is that a student is only required to have their learners permit for nine months before applying for their Driver’s License after turning 16 years of age.

 Thank you .
