Course Syllabus
Course Description
Adobe Video Design I is a project-based curriculum that develops key digital communication skills such as design, project management, research and communication, and video and audio design and production technical skills using Adobe tools.
Course Assessments
Each nine weeks’ grade will consist of:
Major Works---60% of grade: Major projects, presentations, tests, etc.
Minor Works---40% of grade: Note-taking, quizzes, classwork, minor projects, etc.
This course requires a credential in Adobe Premiere Pro as Proof of Learning (POL). If this credential is passed, the student will become an Adobe Certified Professional Video Design Specialist and receive a 100 as the final exam score. If a student does not earn this credential, they will be required to take a District Level Assessment at the end of the semester to determine the student’s final exam grade which counts 20% of the final grade.
Expectations
Respect for everyone is a must. Disrespect of any kind will not be tolerated.
No food or drink will be allowed in the computer lab due to the expensive equipment.
Do NOT remove or install any software to the DCS network or any DCS computer. You are only allowed to be on the computer as directed by the teacher. This includes NO games.

Objective 6.0 Apply procedures to develop and modify audio and visual elements using Adobe Premiere Pro.
